A well-structured talk session entitled “Sanitary Hygiene, Adolescent Stage, and Women Care” was conducted on 17th July 2025 at our school hall, specifically for girl students from grades 6 to 10. The session was facilitated by Elizabeth tr. The primary objective of the session was to equip young girls with essential information and skills related to personal hygiene, the changes that occur during adolescence, and overall women’s health care.
The session commenced with a discussion on sanitary hygiene, emphasizing its importance during the adolescent stage. Elizabeth tr elaborated on how proper hygiene practices can positively affect health and self-esteem. She provided insights into menstrual health management, including the significance of using safe and clean sanitary products, and offered practical advice on how to maintain hygiene during menstruation.
As the session progressed, the physical and emotional changes that girls experience during adolescence was addressed. The discussion included the psychological aspects of growing up, helping students understand that these changes are a natural part of development. Open dialogue, allowing students to voice their concerns and misconceptions about their bodies and hygiene was encouraged.
Moreover, the session included valuable information regarding women’s health care, stressing the need for regular check-ups and awareness of one’s body. Students were empowered to take charge of their health and were motivated to seek help and information when needed.
Many students expressed gratitude for the informative session, feeling more prepared to navigate the challenges associated with adolescence. The workshop successfully created a supportive environment where girls felt comfortable discussing sensitive topics, thus fostering a sense of community and understanding.
This workshop not only equipped the girls with crucial knowledge about sanitary hygiene and health care but also reinforced the importance of open communication regarding their health.
The school looks forward to hosting more initiatives aimed at empowering our students in the future.
