“The voice of parents is the voice of god,

for to their children they are heaven’s lieutenants” - William Shakespeare

Parents are those special people who possess immense patience with a great degree of understanding to bring up their child in the best possible ways. Thus, we celebrate Parents Day by honoring those special people in our lives.

On a day which is dedicated to our parents should see all the children trying their best to make the occasion special for them. Now, to celebrate the day with pomp, here we have some suggestions for you that will certainly prove to be useful.

On 25th of July, The Divine Child CBSE School held a colourful programme on its campus to celebrate the Parents’ Day.Of course, the preparation for this big day commenced months before wherein the children were working and practicing really hard to impress their parents with the help of their following mentors-

It all started with parents gathered in the auditorium with Mrs. Zinnat D’Pekka, Vice president of the Parent Teacher Association and Mrs.Yasmeen Sheth, Joint Secretary of Parents Teacher Association, waiting for their little one’s to perform on the stage.

A brilliant welcome speech was delivered by a student to make our parents feel beloved and special, followed by a prayer service to thank god for giving us such great parents and for his blessings. Students sang heart touching songs to make their parents feel what they actually mean to them, they also danced on peppy songs and a variety of dances were performed to entertain the parents, also melodious English songs were sung by little ones. They all looked cute, innocent and adorable while executing their months of hard work. The love for their parents was clearly seen in their efforts and performances.

After numerous amazing dance performances and songs there was also a prize distribution ceremony held, young achievers were awarded for their excellent performance in the year, 2014-15.

The programme concluded with the National Anthem.

The function was a great success with a team effort of the management, teachers, students and non - teaching staff.
