Almost every school organizes various co-curricular activities for the students and Divine Child Senior Secondary School is not an exception to it. Scholastic and co- scholastic activities have equal importance for the all round development of the child. Keeping this in mind Divine Child Senior Secondary School, CBSE conducted the fancy dress competition on 24th, 25th and 26th October in school premises where the children from Mont 1 to Mont 3 and Primary from Std 1 to Std 5 participated. Students displayed their talents on the following themes-

Mont I - Fruits and vegetables

Mont II - Birds and Animals

Mont III - Cartoon characters and Super heros

Std I - Gadgets and Technology

Std II - Harmful Effects of Junk Food

Std III - Means of Transport and Communication

Std IV A- Social Reformers and Freedom Fighters of India

Std IV B- Artists Of India

Std V - Advertisement on Television

Students witnessed a grand and gorgeous competition where the children dressed up in their colorful costumes came on the stage and spoke a few lines on the character they depicted. The effort and hardwork of the children were highly commendable. The judges who appreciated the efforts taken by children, emphasized on the point that participation is more important than winning. The competition proved to be a great learning experience for the students and gave them a platform to explore their hidden talents. It helped them increase their self esteem and build their confidence. It was a fun filled experience for everyone. The program ended with a vote of thanks to everyone who contributed to make the program a grand success.
