Rakhi is a traditional Hindu festival symbolizing the love and affection between a brother and a sister. This is a festival wherein the sister prays for the safety and happiness of her brother. It is also known as ‘Raksha Bandhan’ that means a ‘knot of protection’.
Students of the Montessori and Primary prepared rakhis as part of their curriculum and then used the same to celebrate the occasion. A special assembly was organised to mark this day. The value of caring for one another was instilled in the children.
