Divine Child Senior
Secondary School, CBSE celebrated Teachers’ Day on 3rd September, 2016. The celebration began with lighting of the lamp by Sr. Joanna, Principal of Divine Child Senior Secondary School, CBSE and Sr. Lawrencia, Principal of Divine Child High School and Junior College, accompanied by teachers from various sections of Divine Child Institute. It was followed by a variety of entertaining programmes put up by the students of Divine Child Senior Secondary, CBSE, Divine Child High School Primary as well as Secondary and the Divine Child Junior College.
The program began by welcome song performed by the pre-primary students of the SSC section followed by two dance performances put up by Std III of the CBSE section. The ambience was then set in with our teachers enjoying the dances put up by the prefects of the SSC section. Students from Std IX performed salsa and jive on English songs. Also students from Jr. College Std XI performed on the song ‘I don’t give upon you’ followed by a dance performance by XII. There was a captivating musical performance performed by the students of 5th to 9th std. Some really good spot prizes were arranged for the teachers. The students thus expressed their love and gratitude for the teachers through their applaudable and remarkable performances.
After all the performances, Sr. Lawrence addressed everyone present and thanked them for their efforts and dedication to the institution. It was followed by distribution of a token of love and appreciation by the management to all teachers. And the program ended with a sumptuous lunch treat. It was truly a memorable day for all the teachers.
